After a career in the media, making science documentaries, Alex now leads the Winton Centre for Risk & Evidence Communication at the University of Cambridge, a group that researches and disseminates best practice in communication of quantified evidence. In her spare time, she is planning a radical shake-up of the scientific publishing system with the launch of Octopus, a new primary research record for science, due in spring 2022.
