Dr Monika Góral-Kurbiel is a graduate of Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Chemistry, Department of Analytical Chemistry. In 2008 she was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry by the Institute of Technology Tallaght Dublin in Ireland, thesis title: “Electrochemical Investigations into Heteropolyanions”. During her doctoral studies she went for internships at Monash University in Melbourne in Australia and Dublin City University in Ireland. In 2008 she also took an internship in the Process Development Department in Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals in Cork in Ireland. In 2009 she started working at University of Warsaw, Faculty of Chemistry, Laboratory of Electroanalytical Chemistry. In 2010 she was hired as research assistant in Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences in Kraków in the research group Catalytic Processes For Clean Energy.

Co-author of publications in international journals. She attended numerous international and Polish conferences. In the course of her academic career she participated in a few research projects as Investigator and Principle Investigator in SONATA project financed by the National Science Centre.

Since March 2017 she has been employed at the National Science Centre as Discipline Coordinator for Physical Sciences and Engineering.
